Mobile Snacks (not snakes) on the plane!

This is primarily for flying out of Dublin, doing pre clearance...
Normally when heading to Spain etc, we would take crisps, chocolate, haribos etc for us and the kids, buying them a lot cheaper in Tesco than the airport or plane.
What about flying to the USA tho? I understand sandwiches sometimes aren't permitted, but what about sealed packets of snacks?
As I say, maybe flying from Dublin may be different than UK rules.

Nothing to say about the post itself, just to say the title made me smile

Should be no issues taking snacks on board as long as it is food that you could take into the USA so crisps, chocolate, jelly snakes etc will be fine. Also if asked at immigration remember to declare any food you have in your hold and hand luggage as you would when entering the USA.

On double checking what I typed, here is what it says on Dublin Airport website -
dublinairport/flight...a-preclearance

I have a severe allergy so don't eat plane food.

We take Pringles, wagon wheels, Jaffa Cakes and hard boiled sweets. And buy lots of water and chocolate milk air side
