The Retreat ChampionsGate v Storey Lakes

I’m unming and arring between the both resorts and looking for opinions please.
We are only doing universal and want to chill more by the lazy river pool and bar. We are 4 adults but can’t make my mind up 🙈

We are at the Retreat in October. I'll let you know what it's like.

We stayed at The Retreat at Champions Gate in 2017 and returned from a stay at Storey Lake two weeks ago.

In my opinion, The Retreat is far superior. The communal area is much nicer and quieter, their pool and lazy river are nicer and cleaned more regularly, the gym is better at The Retreat, and the cinema room etc is an added bonus, the resort is much better kept and just seems a more pleasant place, also Story Lake still has a lot of work going on which is noisy at times.

We enjoyed our stay at Storey Lake, but wouldn't stay there again.

Both have plenty of shops/bars/restaurants in close proximity.

We didn't visit Disney in 2017 when staying at the retreat, but Universal was around 45 minutes using the I4, probably a little quicker avoiding that car park though!
