Yes, doing all this with a toddler and buggy in tow is definitely something that needs to be considered... I think you are right, using the main entrance is our best bet after all! Thank you so much for the input, it really is appreciated!

Here's another ride long gone From the same cable car - or whatever it was called then. Not amazing quality as scanned from a print long before digital days.

No, very strict at the Boardwalk we tried one afternoon before our flight home to have a look around and was told No, park at Hollywood Studios and get the boat down. Did manage last year to park at the Beach club but only for 2 hours, we just wanted to have a walk around the Boardwalk so plenty long enough for our needs, not got any Disney tickets just like to have a wonder around.

What happens if you want to visit in the evenings when the parks are shut,we visited last September,we had no ADR but told the gatehouse we wanted to eat at ESPN,he smiled asked for I'd and let us in no problem, has this changed since then and if so where can we park?

Just to provide another option - you could pay to valet park at one of the board walk hotels then walk or use the friendship boats to go to HS and then on the Epcot. At the end of the night you are through the international gate way and off you go 🙂

For anyone who just wants to have a stroll around the Boardwalk and not needing any stress about "Can we park when we get there?" you can do what we do every time.
We've never stayed on site but every year we do a tour of the WDW resorts by parking free at DS. Park up at the eastern end of the Orange garage and you're fairly near the bus terminal. Whenever we do it there is one bus that serves Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach and Boardwalk then back to DS. Usually we get off at Boardwalk for a stroll and catch the boat which visits all those resorts, HS and EPCOT. Mick
