Looking forward to having enough miles to upgrade to UC for my 50th birthday trip to New York and San Francisco in a couple of years. I'd be in the clubhouse for as long as I possibly could

It's on level 45 (mezzanine level above departures) in T2X (Terminal 2 Extension). It should open with T2X in April next year and is expected to be a similar setup to the LGW Clubhouse / V-Room. Single entrance for both and then turn one way for the Clubhouse & the other for the V-Room.
Why Virgin are holding back on the announcement is beyond me - photos of the "Virgin Lounge" under construction in T2X are available online. When T2X opens, much of the existing T2 will close for a refurbishment (although I am sure they will keep some of the contact gates open, i.e. ones with jetbridges, if they can). This more than likely means the existing lounges in T2 will become unusable. |
