Florida December info
Hi all,
Hoping to get a little advice! 1st time going to Florida in December, is there anything outside the parks you would all recommend? I seen a post elsewhere about there being an ice rink in Celebration, and that it snows every hour. Is there any other must do Xmassy things such as this? Thanks in advance! |

Christmas is literally everywhere you turn we were amazed last year at the Christmas lights in Busch and Seaworld. Celebration have concerts as well as the snow and ice rink. Also maybe a visit to Ice at the Gaylord Palms hotel?

If it's your first trip to be honest you will have more than enough to keep you occupied with the parks alone. It's impossible to imagine how large the parks are and the distances between them until you see it in person. Are you considering all the parks or just Disney? I'm not a Seaworld fan normally but they sure can do Christmas! I loved the ice skating (think Dancing on Ice - the professionals) and the lake full of lit Christmas trees, "snow" falling and the fun "not quite nativity" with live animals.
In Disney (Hollywood Studios) the Osborne lights warrant a few visits and also the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. We love December there, this will be our 6th Dec to visit.

Agree very much with Seaworld comments...their Christmas decorations and shows blow Disney's out the water!

we have been before, and going for 3 weeks but only doing 14 days parks, going to do them all. Although I wasnt going to do seaworld myself, but I might now! So really on our 'Free' week (no parks) was thinking about heading off to see a few xmasy type things. I hear the mall Santas are meant to be amazing!

It's also good to go round all the Disney hotels to see their decorations..the gingerbread house and huge tree at the Grand Floridian, the working gingerbread carousel in the Beach Club Resort. Also a visit to Fort Wilderness campground to see all the fab decorations the RV owners put up. Christmas is amazing in and around Disney and the other parks!
