Why would you would want to play games on your phone in such an incredible place like Disneyland is beyond me.
Well, DLP have an app with wait times and a special game for your phone which you can play in the Crush queue...

Earl of Sandwich in the Disney Village has good wifi.
Not sure Pokemon would eat there though ;0)

This requires data to use, that's how it updates the queue times.

From May 15th I believe data in Europe should be part of UK phone contracts due to new EU law stopping roaming charges
This is true. No doubt this will be removed for mobile UK contracts post-Brexit, but I would like to think DLP will have park-wide wifi by then.

Yes - which is why I was suggesting it's a good reason to have wi-fi in the parks.

The former can be very useful if you are at one end of the park and wondering about a ride at the other end - if you have this information, it can help aid your decision about heading somewhere next etc. I'm not one for having my nose in my phone on holiday tbh, as I think it's family time, however, I think it's a useful tool if used sparingly . Everyone to their own though - some people live on their phones - most places offer free wifi tbh, DLP are behind the times on this - fairly sure all their other parks do.

Have to say, I was amazed how many people were glued to their phones at WDW a few years ago. I did use mine now and again as I'd set up a Touring Plans account (very useful) and had a link to all my ADRs etc. We have 3 (feel at home) so it's not an issue for us in certain countries. But while the roaming charges are changing shortly, I guess once we leave the EU, that'll all change again for us!

It's supposed to be from mid June now I believe. Just after we get back!

I get what people are saying about being glued to your phone on holiday - especially when there is so much to see at Disneyland. I'm certainly not a Mum who lets their child be glued to a screen all day or a family who sit at the dinner table with a phone in each of their hands!
But they are OBSESSED with Pokemon Go and apparently France offers different regional ones to here? They would also be great if we're stuck in a queue.
As someone stated earlier, WhatsApp would be great too if our group gets seperated.
The My Disney Experience app was so useful in WDW, it would be great to have something similar here.

When I went back in 2015, i wasn't charged anything for data roaming in the parks and I am with o2 so I must have had a certain bolt on to allow me to do that.

I did use my phone quiet alot but that was because I was keeping on touch with my family back home and we were there days after the horrible paris attacks so they wanted me to keep them posted on what was going on. I also used it in cafe mickey for photos rather than use my camera.
