The only place we avoid on a weekend evening with children is Disney Springs otherwise carry on as normal. Usually don't even realise it's the weekend. Once away I loose track of what day it is! This year we will be on a cruise for one of the weekend but that was by accident not design 😀

I actually found the opposite to most, but this maybe because we went at peak time but we actually found MK noticeably quieter on the Sat that we were there than the Thursday and this was Easter weekend. Now we may have just gotten lucky but we were tipped off by one of our friends that had been the previous year saying that Saturdays were actually the quietest time as a lot arrive and therefore leave on a Saturday.

As I say we may have gotten lucky and there wasn't that much difference but enough to make it more enjoyable.

We just carry on as Normal following the Busy Day guide and hitting the parks that are most recommended we don't change our plans because it is the weekend.
As far as we are concerned we are on Holiday so every day is the weekend :-).

For our trip in September we are doing the following;
Saturday 9th - Shopping and possibly an air boat ride and travelling to Cocoa Beach
Sunday 10th - KSC (But only because we are cruising the next day and its within the vicinity)
Saturday 16th - Magic Kingdom from as early as we can get in using three fastpasses then stay or leave once these have expired depending on how we feel.
Sunday 17th - Going to the Mall/Shopping and maybe Cinema depending on what is on.
Saturday 23rd - Left free to decide on the day
Sunday 24th - Left free to decide on the day

We try and fit the parks in around the week days but if we want to go back etc then we will, it doesn't stop us from going if we want to.

We went August last time and did Epcot for 2 Saturdays and had a day shopping and Airboat ride on the last Saturday. I just went by the busy day guide and it worked for us

Celebration Farmers market, not very big but a few different things. Then a walk round the lake followed by coffee at Starbucks people watching. ( a women with a Siamese cat with a tiara on it's head stretched out on a real fur rug on the table was interesting,)
Then to DS to catch a bus to a Disney resort for lunch and a look round

Our discovery Cove and airboat days are always at the weekend. Otherwise, we just carry on as normal.

For our middle Sunday we've booked brunch at the Cali Grill and have dinner booked that night at the Boat House in DS. Possibly taking a trip around SAB for the son while we are out having a "date brunch" the rest of the day we hope to be in DS looking around at the new shops to find something different.
