PIP off

posted my nieces form off on 7th March got a phone call yesterday (5th April ) from Atos asking a few more questions they say we should here in about 2 weeks.
I belong to a group on FB the stories on there are horrendous one girl got refused in Dec and all money stopped has had to put her house on the market as she cannot keep up her payments and is going to Tribunal hearing today... another was in hospital at the time her assessment appointment came up informed DWP but her money was stopped as she failed to make the appointment, another collapsed in the assessment and was taken to hospital money stopped as he did not complete assessment ...stupid or what

I heard two weeks after, I sent the form off, then waited another four weeks for a home visit. Then another two weeks for the results.

I think the whole process took about 8 weeks (swapping over from DLA), filled the form in (for my son) took about 4 weeks till home visit, then 4 weeks for a decision. I know a lot of people have not agreed with decisions, but just wanted to point out it can work both ways. My sons PIP payment is more than double what he was receiving in DLA.

Wow-of course -all things in life can have both equal and unequal results.

As with anything-some are fair, some unfair and some those most questionable...

As my Dd always says-there are 3 sides to every story-
One version
The alternative version
The truth.

My son has another 1.5 years left on dla before he moves to pip, the thought of the whole process is worrying me already.

I know me saying it won't really help-but please try not too worry too much.
Life on a day to day basis can be trying enough at times to begin with .
We really don't need to add extra stress to our lives.

You are dead right regarding the stress, but once again I will bang my drum, pip is purely a cost cutting excersise,if it wasn't why on earth change from dla?...the government have the ability to wean out the "non deservers"" without resorting to all this utter nonsense, not to mention the cost, anyway,to all who get rejected, sadly that will be an awful lot of you, if at first you don't succeed, well you know the rest, good luck, bondy.
