Overseas Money Transfer

Does anyone have a recommended bank/firm to transfer UK money into Dollars/Euro's where the rates are slightly better.

Not just holiday money but maybe a DVC purchase, just need to find a decent solution for money transfer where the rate is reasonable.

Thanks

I use XE.com regularly to pay my annual dues monthly into my Suntrust account. I also used them to pay a recent DVC add on. I find the website very easy to use.

Another for Xe & as previous poster into my Suntrust account. Most UK banks do it, with charges obviously, when we bought it was £20 for anything under $5000 & £30 for over so basically our deposit first then the full amount later.
In relation to Suntrust, if you decide to buy then you can only pay by DD with a US account.

Be careful, always a small risk the company could go bust and take your cash with it. Due to the size of the business I used HiFX and have to say they were very very good when doing my DVC final payment from the UK.
