I would really like to stay here as it looks amazing
Just wondering how long people stay here and the best places to visit?
Do you fly directly or stay over either in LA etc
Wondering if to have a few days at a Disney park and then a week here
Any thoughts?

Hi Carol

We are flying into Seattle, popping up to Vancouver then flying across to Honolulu for a few nights at Waikiki Beach before finishing at Aulani. We are then going back to Anaheim for six nights (Super Heroes Half Marathon!), three nights somewhere TBC and then home from LAX.

I've always thought it would be nice to break up the long flight to Hawaii by stopping in Vegas, LA, San Francisco etc rather than attempting it all in one go. I'll let you know how we get on

We flew in and out of LA. Spent 6 nights at Disneyland grand Californian, flew to Hawaii for 3 nights then Oahu for 8 nights. Stayed at Aulani for all 8 nights.

Booked return flights to LA with virgin and then the remaining flights with Hawaii air.

Are you glad you did Hawaii (is that also known as Big Island - I'm getting myself confused with the different names! ) as well as Oahu? What advice would you give about a split stay?

Yes Hawaii is the big island. No advice really. It's so far to go to only do one island, try and do 2. Go online and have a look at the diff islands and see what takes your fancy xx

What is there to do at Aulani for a week? We aren't "sitting on a beach" type of people but nor are we energetic thrill seekers.

We have visited all four islands on a cruise, fell in love with Hawaii generally and would love to go back.
