You can get a disability access card for her if the queuing is an issue. At guest services I believe. We are travelling in August with ds 11 who was diagnosed with high functioning autism in August of last year. We have visited the theme parks numerous times but never during peak times so we shall see how he goes.
I hope all goes great for you and I'm sure it will be x |

My son is Autistic and couldn't cope with the queues so we went to guest relations at Disney and Universal and they were fab, got a fastpass which meant we either got straight on a ride or where told when to come back, they were really helpful

When we last went to Orlando in 2012 it was just before our son got his formal diagnosis. We had the pass for the queues for him which was fantastic. They also gave us as sticker that turned his buggy into the same status as a wheelchair. This meant we could keep him in it to see Fantasmic.
We are going agin this year and it will be the second flight for my son, I have no idea if he remembers the last one. We are more worried about how our three year old will be on the plane.

There were 5 of us in the party and we all got fastpasses
Also we got to sit in the reserved area at Fantasmic. The staff were really good

Request special assistance off your airline for disembarking the aircraft and navigating the airport.
My son has autism and we were met at the plane door (virgin) and bypassed the 3 hour queue at immigration by a member of staff to a special queue.

You've had some brilliant advice already , this section of the dibb is so helpful 👍👍
My daughter was diagnosed with autism when she was 4 too, she's nearly 9 now ... she had trouble queuing and that's when the DAS card was brilliant but we found we didn't really have to use it that much because fast passes worked so well for us. Hopefully you'll be amazed how well she copes I know we were, there's so much to see and do that in itself is a distraction. Take things at your daughters pace that's what works best for us ... we still got loads done and had the best of times x |
