Help for a first timer to DLP

Hi all
We have decided to visit DLP for a three night stay at the beginning of July. I have looked on the French and UK sites and for us the deals are about the same. We live in France so the French site might just have the edge for us. But there are some things I'm not sure about. If we go via the French site we would have to buy the half board dining plan (it would bring it up to about the same as UK price) is it worth upgrading to the Golden Forest Club as well? If we just upgraded to Golden Forest Club would we need Dining Plan? We would visit some restaurants but how expensive are they?

Sorry for so many questions, we have been to Florida before and so much easier to understand.
Thanks all.

Never been to either but having our first trip September! We choose to do golden forest because of the extras you get (hot breakfast, fast check in, afternoon snacks, extra fast pass) this way we can fill up on breakfast have an afternoon snack and then pick where ever we want to have tea/supper. We worked it out to be cheaper going for golden forest than adding on a meal plan... as for how expensive it is, there is menus in the planning section which is really good for giving you prices and if they are table service/buffet...

Hope this helps a little xx

I'm thinking the same as you, maybe the Golden Forest Club would be better value. I will have a look at the menus and prices to see which one is the best for us! Many thanks.
