Thomas Cook flights/1 night hotel question
Hi all
Havent done Florida for a couple of years so am a bit out of touch with flight prices (have previously booked packages). We are looking at Sept 18 but are flexible as no kids Just pricing up with TC 16 nights 5 -21 Sept Econ flights £489, Premium flights £649. I THINK the PE flights are quite good value? Also If I wanted to add on 1 night hotel so I dont have to pay for the flights upfront can I do that on the website? Last question - the flights are into MCO but would prefer Miami - does anyone know if they are still doing Miami next year (want to do the Keys then AMI). TIA Katie x x |

yes
the package with TC is called flexibletrips. I booked instore took a bit of faffing, need to consult with the flexi trips department, I booked in Feb and got 5 seats Man to MCO and 1 night in a cheap O hotel for £1750! we wont be using the hotel but as my work is seasonal the extra month to pay really helped - looking to do the same next year and made add a night at Uni or 7 nights in a villa. heres the website but I think you need to go instore or call the general number and ask for them. thomascook/brands/th...flexibletrips/

Aarrgghh.
The local TA just called me back and apparently I have to have 3 night min for the hotel and £500 deposit! Might as well just pay for the flights upfront if that's the case! Gggrrrrr Katie |

I called my local shop on weekend and have also spoken to TC online chat and they say there is no way to book flights deposit only even if you book a night at hotel.
The shop called head office and they confirmed this,I also went into Thomson's and they said the same. Papmouse you have been very lucky. I called 3 Thomas cook shops and they all said same thing

typical TC call someone else and they will book it for you.
Ive emailed my contact today as I'm looking to do the same thing next year, Ive asked if I can book 1 night at RPR in the middle of the hol and/or a villa for the last week. she works for flexi - ill let you know how I get on and if she wants me to share her email address. heres the paperwork!

It is next year we are looking at so maybe this is why its changed?
I have asked an online TA that friends have recommended to look into it for me - we want 2/3 nights in Key West and then a week on the gulf. But if your contact is happy to share their email address I'm all ears KAtie |

in my experience this would not be a policy change by TC, more likely particular staff don't know they can actually do this,
I was lucky in the fact that the girl in the store actually knew she could do this and made it happen, it took about an hour - she brought the flights up on her screen, then called flexi - she had to "buy the flights" and then sell them to flexi who added the one night in the hotel. TC are notoriously interdepartmental - if I were you (anyone wanting this deal) call flexi department direct - as the shop and HQ don't to this every day but flexi do!
