Cruising the Caribbean - Day four - Sea day

29th September 2008

6am alarm - Gooooooooooood morning world! Looked out of the cabin window onto the balcony and it was just starting to get light. Sunrise was the opposite side of the ship this morning. Upto deck 12 I went.

Greeted by this scene:

It was once again pretty amazing - not half of what tonight's was to be...

Had a walk around the ship, popped onto the net too to email back home.
As you can see I had to queue for ages for a computer, I think they should use FastPasses here...

Went back to the cabin for an hour kip or so. Woke up to a grumbling tummy.. Brekkie was calling !

Toast, Bacon, Hash Brown and a bagel...

Today the sea was slightly rocky ( Seasoned cruisers probably wouldn't notice it!) , which made it fun in the sports pool.. going from side to side.. Very surreal feeling!
Couple of hours past relaxing in the sun and bobbing from side to side.. , it really built up an appetite.. lol.

Windjammer it was..

Dessert was English trifle, VERY scrummy indeed! Yum yum yum!

After dinner, it was down to deck 4 for me to see the jotty out bit ( Aft I think? lol) Man it was windy.

We're getting closer!

This part is kinda funny , a little while later we left the stateroom and I had been desperate to find the Helliport of the ship since we got on.. I'd be damned if I could find it! So as I say, we left the room and we were just behind the bridge. I saw this guy in uniform , and I decided to ask him the way.. Was speaking to him for a few minutes and he was asking if I liked the ship , and having a good time.. of course I replied yes.. Looked at his badge.. CAPTAIN ! People were queueing up the night before to talk to him.. When he walked off I said.. " Nice steering" to him - how embarrassing! Very nice man indeed.

So following the Captain's directions.. We found it! YAY! The front of the ship ( You'd think it wouldnt be hard to find wouldn't you? )

I did my Kate Winslet bit at the front.. LOL.

A few more hours were spent soaking up the sun by the pool... it was sooooooooooooooooooo warm! 90f today.

Back to the room to watch the sunset from the balcony. It was to be stunning. I'll let the pictures tell you the story...

Amazing! The show tonight was a pre-dinner show. It was once again excellent! Tonight was to be 70's Disco night on the Royal Promenade , the crew were all dressed up ready.

Nipped back to the room for something to discover another bunny,.. sob.. No tip for Conrad! lol

The clock hit 8.30pm and the dining room doors were open. ( every day spot on!)

Starter I had a roaster garlic soup - extremely yummy, but needed to brush my teeth afterwards!

Entree was to be the Black Angus top sirloin... Again. Yum. With a side of Jalepeno CORNBREAD! My fave. The cornbread came with another dish but I kindly asked the waiter if I could have some, no questions were asked!

Tonight the waiters would sing an Italian song for us. ( The Menu was Italian themed!) It was soooo good, all stood on the stairs. I had goosepimples the whole way through it. I did video it and it will be on youtube , which I'll post on a video page of my trip report.

The atmosphere was buzzing!

Dessert was a very yummy chocolate cake!

We watched the 70's part from deck 8 I think , gave a good overview. It looked fab.
( Guy in the middle was from Manchester and a veeeeeery very lovely guy)

I'd been up since early morning and it was now time for bed. Wrote out a brekkie room service slip to put on the door handle and my head hit the pillow.. Bang.. away in seconds.

Tomorrow - LAND! St Maarten. My new favourite place in the world!
