Hi all thinking of maybe spending one night in clearwater beginning of Sept has anyone done this before mid holiday and any ideas of price or how I'd find suitable hotel that allows one night stay

Did it in July, fantastic, most hotels do one night, check the likes of expedia, hotels.com etc, can't remember who we booked with now, we stayed at the clarion inn, 45 for 3 of us including breakfast, nothing fancy but clean. Wasn't right on beach but about 2 miles away.

We booked one night in Clearwater last November, probably through Booking or one of the other hotel comparison sites, we paid $60 for a night at the Sta n Pla which was really nice, exactly as you imagine an American beach motel to be with a pool and free parking all within 5 minutes walk of the centre/pier and 2 minutes from the beach. We liked it so much we ended up staying for an extra night.

We stayed a night last July. What a lovely place, we stayed in the Pier House 60 Hotel. It has a pool and a lovely bar on the roof. It's located across the road from the beach. I believe we paid around $100 for one night. Definitely recommend a visit if you can.
