Favuorite things to do in Orlando apart from the parks
We have a few spare days in Orlando next summer and was wondering what we should plan to do on those days.
What are your favourite things to do? We have two children - 2 and 8. |

A beach on the gulf coast. Plenty to choose from, but Anna Maria would get our vote.

There is no such thing as a spare day
Wish I could find one mind you. 21 days and each has a park! If I had another week I would include the Space center. Old town is quite nice with some interesting shops. An air-boat ride? But for us Florida is about the parks and a day say at a beach I would feel was a waste as I could do this anywhere.

Wild Florida was a complete highlight for us - we did the wildlife park, a 1hr airboat ride and an animal encounter - with a young sloth - feeding it and stroking it made my youngest daughter's year! Nice cafe and shop there too.

Oh I know what you mean - but we only have 14 days at Disney and 5 at Universal is surely enough ... I was thinking a mall for one day as we've never been, not that we are big shoppers.
Not sure about a trip to the coast as we are nervous drivers! Also we are lucky enough to live near the beach in the UK. I was thinking the kids might be too young to appreciate the space centre? |
