I know boots will cover us for our pre existing conditions (I ran a mock quote), however does anyone know if the boots travel insurance covers End Supplier Failure for DIY holidays?

Thumbs up Kathy carter

Hi I am so glad I found this it is so helpful we have a son 23 with multiple medical conditions one being internal bleeds. This is being managed now and he hasn’t had a bleed or been admitted to hospital since November 2017 so I’m hoping we can get insurance for him to go to our beautiful villa for a much needed break for him. He also has short bowel syndrome and psareotic arthritis and peripheral neuropathy but he is actually quite able as everything is managed so well I will be making several phone calls from your suggested sites in the hope we are able to get insurance for him fingers crossed

Wonder if anyone can help. Not someone who is travelling, but a close relative has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Are there any policies that don’t ask about possible family illnesses that might cause cancellation?

I thought I’d add this in. I’m looking for insurance post DH’s triple bypass.
I’ll edit if I find out more.

I found this official site, Money Helper.
They have a list of specialist medical travel insurance companies.
They say “ All firms are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and have been through a rigorous selection process to prove their specialism”.

moneyhelper.uk/en/ev...ance-directory

Also links to brokers who do specialist medical travel which might help with the legwork.

Just took out insurance for our trip in May and unfortunately Boot are ceasing their travel insurance cover from April 2022.

Ended up trying Staysure and they covered us of our pre existing and offered the end supplier failure cover also.

That’s useful information, thanks. I’ll cross Boots off the list. Staysure is on the short list still.
