Manchester Airport Hotels - Walking Distance

Next year will be the first time we have flown from Manchester so would appreciate hotel recommendations. Preferably one bookable with Avios but not essential. 7 of us (including 3 small children) so looking for 2 rooms within walking distance to Terminal 2. No car and would rather not have to juggle luggage on shuttles if at all possible.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu which is within the terminal we flew from last year to Orlando and it was amazing! (I can't remember which terminal it was sorry) It was a short walk to the check in desk. The room we had had a great view of the planes and it was easy to check-in and out to make the trip as easy as possible.

The Radisson is really the only walkable one and it's right alongside T2.

Have walked to the Hilton but not with luggage plus busy road to cross. They do have a shuttle though.

Yep, have stayed at the Radisson several times, and it is the only hotel at Manchester where you can walk to the terminal (T2) without crossing the busy airport roads. Indeed you don't even have to go outside, just use the moving walkways through the glass (plastic?) covered tunnels from the hotel to the terminal. Oh, and their breakfast (£12.95) earlier this year) is far superior to any of the offerings in the terminal. Hope this helps.

Radisson is good and in the past had 2 rooms with an interconnecting door but the prices are daft.

Last 2 times have done the Hilton in a room that sleeps all 5 of us, as a Hilton member for the next trip got breakfast for all of us for about a fiver (in total)

As mentioned they also have a shuttle bus that takes you to the terminal door from right outside the hotel door so not a great deal of luggage juggling!

Wow just priced up for next August for 1 night, they want £387, think I will stick with my premier inn room for £36.00.

Radisson is the only one and yes the price is eye watering.

We stay at Premier Inn as do a lot of Dibbers, the two Premier Inns share a car park, the South one room has 2 double beds, the North has the standard PI family room with 1 double and 2 singles. It is just somewhere to sleep the night before the flight.

We drove ourselves for meet and greet as it is the first time we have had a car big enough to fit our cases.

Prior to that PI order us a large taxi, like a mini van as they can see the amount of people and luggage. Think it cost £9 (included the new drop off charges)

We have stayed at Radisson Blu and yes the walk it easy but my goodness the price reflects that.

Thank you that is really useful information. We will probably need to get a taxi from the station?

We stayed at the Clayton hotel and walked there from the terminal as we did twilight check in the night before. We got a free transfer back the morning after. Took less than 5 minutes.
