Acts of terrorism are often not covered by insurance - a lot depends on the advice at the time by the FCO and the willingness of companies to change their policies.

Still looking for deals here. I’d be more worried about walking down oxford street or the Champs elysees than Main Street in the magic kingdom.

If people want to attack they will, and if we become fearful about it we would never go anywhere.

We haven't even considered it to be honest. We also travelled there on the first anniversary of 9/11 and will keep going.

In that last 30 years there have been an average of 1.5 hijackings a year worldwide. When you consider just how many commerical flights there are per year that's a tiny amount. Even if there was an increased risk because of the US actions, the chances of it affecting the plane you're on is still remote.

I should also say that we had planned a two city break in New York and Washington DC for October 2001. Obviously, 9/11 happened and we had to cancel the New York element due to the hotel being close to the Towers but we still went to Washington.

Iran is over 7000 miles from Orlando so if things do get heated over there you are hardly likely to be in any danger. What exactly are you scared about?

I think the OP is right to worry, on CNN last night the panelist's were talking about Iran’s retaliation strategy and about how the Ayatollah apparently is frightened of Dinosaur related rides.

Stay away. Probably best to hide under your bed until it blows over.

I think you're more likely to get caught up in a terrorist/war situation here

Nope, not even thought about it. When your number is up, your number is up. That can be any time and there is not a thing you can do about it. If I put things off based on what might happen I'd never get out of bed, much less leave the house. Life is too short to worry about ifs, buts and maybes

Not worried at all. I would consider booking sooner rather that later as if there is any trouble I think fuel prices are going to go through the roof.
