Currently at 1hr 45 and I’ve given up. The tuna and sweetcorn is going into pasta instead

Unless I burn the pasta

Are you opening the oven every so often to check the potatoes? Every time you open the door, the temperature goes down and the food will take longer to cook. The oven may be set at 200 degress but becuase you have opened the door so often, the actual temperature could only be 150 degrees.

Oven on full blast, microwave for 8 mins, dry the skin then put in the oven for 20 mins.

Serve with butter and salt. Mmmmmmm

Why don’t I have any potatoes? 😢

Opened it first time after an hour then just a minute ago.

Dunno why I’m still cooking them. But anyway I’m taking them out in 5 as we are at 2 hours and I will have to figure out what else I can do rather than waste 5 potatoes.

I pop mine in the microwave and then the oven to crisp up the skin for about 10-15 minutes.

To cook one baked potato in the oven for 90-120 minutes works out very expensive!

Are you putting them on a tray? I put them straight on to shelf I used to have those metal things but gave up on them.
Also I don't think my fan oven is as much hotter than normal one as it claims.

Yes straight on a tray with a skewer through.

It’s not my day.

Trying to multitask and call p&o about my refund. I thought I had put my colander in the sink to drain the pasta.

I hadn’t.

I’m going back to bed.

Please send someone round to look after the kids.

I do not have enough chocolate for this today.

Straight into the oven at 200 for about an hour, maybe a bit more. Always turn out perfect, but I did learn if I’m doing anything where the potato is the star of the show to buy good potatoes as it makes such a difference.

Edited at 11:29 PM.

I'm hooked on them now as it's so quick and easy .
This is our 'recipe' for jacket potatoes too
