Gin

Is anyone else having a go at rhubarb and ginger gin or just plain rhubarb? My batch is brewing nicely. It's had one week already so only three more to go.

I’ve just looked at a couple of recipes, and one says to leave to for 4 weeks, and one says to leave for 3 days.
What would you recommend, I fancy having a go at this?

Sandra, I've gone for the four week one. You can leave it longer as well but it loses it's colour.

Helen, I will have a look for a limoncello recipe. Also hoping to do sloe gin later on as did have some from a friend and like you says it's amazing. We had it as a shot half way round NY day golf.

I always make sloe gin and raspberry vodka, which is lovely and also counts as one of your five a day 😂
May have to try rhubarb gin now, I’ve got plenty in the garden and no one else in the family will eat it.

Well, it's bottling day tomorrow.

What should I do with the rhubarb?

Found a recipe for jam with it. Rhubarb in the freezer until I get the sugar. Gin is good

The jam is dreadful. Far too sweet and I have a sweet tooth.
