I’ve not flown with BA before.

Do they not give you the option to pay to move your flights to a later date ?

Called BA this evening with regards to our LGW-MCO flight for 1st July-11th July. They told me it's been cancelled and issued me a refund to my CC. They said they are working through a backlog of July cancellations

We are in the same position, booked October last year for 3 of us in September paid £150 for deposits ,it also included hotel at LGW the night before. Ot seems very unfair to those who booked early if we dont get a voucher when those who booked during the covid outbreak get one.
Looks like theres enough of us to complain to martin Lewis if we dont get treated fairly

We also booked last year for this October and have only paid a £150 deposit, OH said yesterday that she'd now consider still going but I'm not that keen especially after receiving an email last night from BA detailing how unpleasant the flight's going to be, the other issue I have is the balance is due in August when I had assumed it would be three weeks before we go as per this in the FAQ section -

''We have reduced the ‘balance due’ date for all new and existing bookings that include a hotel and/or car. Your final balance is now due three weeks prior to your date of travel.''

I guess we'll just have to wait a bit longer before making any final decisions.

The balances on BA Holidays is 3 weeks before - if you leave it a few days whilst they deal with the latest cancellations give them a ring on the Freephone number and they will confirm this. Hopefully this will give you the extra time for things to settle down a little we hope.

I got an email from BA earlier re my Oct trip. It was a basic prepare for your trip email, confirming baggage allowance, pay for your seat etc etc. I’m still in two minds as to whether to go or not. Was hoping they would extend the dates for transferring or give me a voucher. I’ve paid in full already so can wait until nearer the time and see what restrictions are in place.

They do - but there is a condition that the new dates have to be within 12 months of the date you booked the trip. We booked in September 19 so can move our August flights to no later than sept 20 so not much good to us. And I think amend fee was £600 😳

I’m checking the website for updates to voucher scheme hourly - it’s driving me mad!

You are in the exact same position as me. Spoke to them on twitter yesterday and said latest I can move to is the middle of sept (so pointless!) and £150 each to change it, so £600

Due to fly 3 Aug- so frustrating. DH said we might just have to accept we’re losing the money ☹️ He called it ‘taking a two and a half grand bath’ 🤣not heard that before. Will be gutted ☹️
