ok, i'm hoping this is the best place to ask this question

i have decided to take my daughters camera with us on holiday (even though it means carrying something pink around with me ) just cos her is 12mp and mine is really old and only 5mp lol

anyway the only problem is she has lost the lead that connects the camera to the laptop and i really wanted to facebook my pictures at the end of each day (yes i know i'm sad lol)

so anyway my question is, where can i get a replacement lead from? do i just e-mail the supplier? it's fuji camera but the end that conneccts into the camera end is really tiny so the lead from my camera doesn't fit

thanks

they are usually the mini USB leads that are used on loads of things and tend to be generic. What model is it? I don't mind having a look on some websites for you to find out.

I think I'd need to know the modal number. Has it got one anywhere on the camera?

Just a thought - I never us the leads that come with the cameras, I take the SD card out and put it straight into pc (saves battery life - you can be charging it up while putting photos on facebook!)... if your pc doesn't have an sd card slot, you can buy an sd card reader for about £1 these days (bet they do them in pound land).

I've lost various camera leads over the years... it's so easy to get replacements from ebay or Amazon.

OMG how dumb am i hahaha. i completely forgot tht my daughters netbook has a card slot on the side lol. (my laptop doesn't)

ok from the posts i've made so far on this thread i'm beginning to see a bit of a pattern... my dd is only 12 yet she has a better camera than me and a better laptop hahaha. guess i'll just have to keep using all her stuff (says the mummy currently typing on daughters netbook lol)

Tip 2: Steel Wii remote wrist strap for camera - much better than what Camera have usually.

Tip 3: Buy 4 or 5 of the 2 GB SD cards - very cheap and better than butting all photo's on one big SD card that could go wrong. If a 2 GB fails, you don't lose so many pics, and you can carry spares with you (I have never known an SD card go wrong BTW)

Tip 4: Find a piece of technology in the home, find out how to use it, and throw away the manual, and don't let the kids operate it. I won't let them touch my new Virgin TiVo box - have to keep some power back... I don't get a look in on the Wii, PS3, DSi's, kindles, laptops etc etc...don't want to become obsolete... once they learn to cook, drive and earn money thats it!
