Insurance for ECV

Got some last minute jitters here.

Just checked and my travel insurance does not cover me using the ECV. I am from the UK going to Disney World in Floriday.

I am renting my scooter from Walker Mobility and they do not offer insurance.

If I run into someone by accident will they sue me? I do not own my house, I do not have any savings and in fact live on benefits so I cannot afford to be sued.

Am I just worrying about something that will not happen?

I know we all worry about these types of things when we are going so far away, it's only natural. If you are so worried by this though, why not ask your insurance company if they would provide cover as an extra? However, thinking about it, how likely is it that you would seriously injure someone? Most people are sympathetic to people in wheelchairs and tend to move out of the way anyway. Try to relax and enjoy your holiday.

As a matter of interest how much do walker mobility charge for this as we have only hired manual wheelchairs in the past?

It was $250 for the week and $20 extra for a canopy if you wanted it, but I needed a heavy duty one. The "normal" one is cheaper I believe.
