Disneyland 1st trip arriving Xmas eve!

Hi, I’m planning our first ever trip to Disneyland California and obviously gonna pop in and see universal. We are flying on Christmas Eve and should be staying for eight nights. We’re staying in the Hyatt Regency Orange County hotel. I chose this hotel because it offered a brilliant price and the shuttles to from Disneyland. If anyone stayed there can you give me any thoughts or comments or recommendations of what to do for food around that area also as we have eight nights apart from universal, where else or what else should we do and say we wasn’t gonna hire a car cause I’ve heard that that time of year the traffic is horrendous so I was just gonna get Ubers and lifts. Any Thoughts or help or what we should do on our trip I really appreciate thank you X

We went for 10 nights last summer without a car. Had a 5 day Disneyland/CA ticket but didn’t go 5 days in a row, a day at the beach, a day in LA on a private tour, then stayed the night in Burbank for Universal the next day. We did a full day at US, then got a Lyft back to Anaheim. We then had 2 more Disney days when we got back & a pool day before home. We stayed in the Anaheim Marriott suites & there was loads of restaurants around & went to ihop directly facing the Disney park entrance a few mornings. We used Lyft from our hotel as it was very cheap about $6/7each time as we were about a 30 min walk away.

ETA if you can I would definitely stay in Burbank area for your US day, I highly recommend the tangerine hotel as it was lovely & wasn’t expensive. A quick Lyft cost about $7 to the parks.

Thanks that sounds amazing. Where did you book the tour from. Do you recommend staying closer to Universal.
Thanks x

I definitely recommend staying in closer for US as the traffic is so bad!
I booked a private tour with a local girl called Emily, she is amazing! We just told her what we wanted to see & do & she made us an itinerary. She picked us up from our hotel in Anaheim & we toured LA for 8 hours! She then dropped us off at Burbank & we stayed the night there for our universal trip the next day.
