Price hike so change of car size..advice please

Hiya. Just been onto Alamo Brits and prices have gone up in the last few weeks. Was looking at a full size but wondering if would now get away with a standard for a cheaper price...?

We are 2 adults, 2 small children, 2 large cases, 2 holdalls and 1 stroller and we are driving up from Miami.

I know there is a sticky thread but just wondering if any families have found a standard large enough... there is some variety in the car fleet... some are similar size to full... ?

Thanks in advance

I was looking at Alamo Brits for Fullsize cars as they seemed to be the cheapest but with the price hike I went with USRentacar as they worked out best deal.

Have a look at Netflights and also Virgin car hire, both usually have had quite good Alamo rates. Might not need to downsize as it might be a bit of a squeeze. saying that, that's only to and from the airport that you'll have the car fully loaded.

It was gold insurance package which includes all the requisite insurance bits like CDW and SLI plus additional drivers and tank of fuel which means I don't have to worry about filling it up before I get it back to the airport.
