I know tell me about it, we are not so bad at the moment as both in Primary and they get 2 weeks of at the end of May / beginning of June so I just take them out for a few days and can get really decent flight prices, but my DS is in Y6 so from Sept 2018 will be starting Secondary school and they only get 1 week at the end of May so we won't even be able to go then either - will be back to expensive summer holidays if we want anything longer than a week
