Universal upgrade just for parking/discount?

Just reading through another thread and it has got me thinking about whether or not we should upgrade one of our 14day universal tickets to an annual (of some kind?). Definitely not return visit for us within the next year so it would just be to take advantage of free parking and 10% discounts - is that right?

We are staying at RPR for 3 nights with friends and will probably visit Universal and Volcano Bay on several other days. We will most likely be eating at Mythos and Cowfish plus Toothsomes. Does discount on food apply there?

Can anyone tell me what one ticket upgrade might cost and if you think it would be worth it.

You will need a preferred pass to get free parking. You will only need one for your family. I paid $105 for an upgrade last year. It may be different now as volcano bay wasn’t included then.

You will still need to pay around $20 per night while you are at RPP though.
