I finally booked car hire tonight with alamo through auto europe for a suv for 2 weeks 28thaug-11thsept with insurance plus 1 extra driver for £302!

Im happy as its the cheapest by far that i have seen with a company that has good reviews

Also free cancellation before 48hour departure

protecetion for the vehicle with Zero excess therefore client
should not purchase any additional coverage at time of pick

* Insurance coverage for personal injuries to driver or

* Overstay Fee of $10.99 USD per day in addition to the daily
rental rate, in the event that rental is extended after
commencement.
* Vehicle is rented with a full tank of fuel and should return
the vehicle with a full tank and retain copy of gas receipt to
avoid a locally determined refueling fee. Client can opt to
prepay for the first tank of fuel at time of pick up, in which
casethe vehicle should be returned as empty as possible, no
refund for unused fuel. Exception: If client has purchased the
Gold Rate in which case the first tank of fuel is included in

I did a seach and it also came up with auto Europe. Very competitive price for August compared to others. Think I may book this one also before the price changes.

How did you get the additional driver included?
Looked on the website and it has it down as pay $10 a day locally.

The extra driver must have been free yesterday, it's on my confirmation as I just checked

I've just spoken to Auto-Europe and they insist that the extra driver is £10 per day payable locally. I would make sure you have it free as it could end up costing you.

Ok will check, I'm not bothered either way tbh. Both of us drive but there is no way I'm gonna drive while we are there! I'm afraid I'll crash or turn the wrong way lol
