How long does the disney transportation take
Hi Guys
We are staying at Disney All start sports for 1 night so travelling to the Disney parks 2 days from the hotel. Are we better off driving to the parks ourselves and parking or taking the courtesy bus from reception. If we get the bus, how often do they come and how long does it take to get from all start sports to AK and do you get it from the reception area. Im just thinking of what will be the easiest and quickest if staying onsite. If anyone has stayed here knows this please can you advise me. Thanks Becca

It's quite a few years since we stayed at All Stars, but we used the car to travel to the parks as we found it more flexible i.e. if we decided to stop off somewhere en-route back to the hotel etc.
We never used the buses from hotel to parks. |

I think the general rule for Disney hotel buses is that for MK, it is potentially faster to take the bus than to drive (as buses drop off right outside MK, whereas car park is at TTC and requires switching to monorail/ferry). For other parks it's supposed to be faster to drive.
ourlaughingplace/aspx/twiz.aspx has a transport wizard that estimates how long it takes to get from one place to another using Disney transport...

Assuming a bus is there waiting to take you to a park, the Disney bus will be just as quick as taking the car. The only extra time comes from waiting for the next bus. Or if the current bus is full and you have to wait for another one.
We haven't stayed at All Star Sports, but at CBR we usually only had to wait 10 mins or so for a bus. On one occasion we did have to wait around half a hour though.

For MK WDW transport is always the fastest way you are dropped and picked up at the gates, no need for monorail or ferries. I would say that if you day was only to go to MK and EPCOT then WDW transport. If you were going to AK or Disney studios then the bus will drop you at the gate but it is only the tram ride you save. Must admit though I generally only use the car if our plans include going off resort.
