Toast With a Side of Sausages - Off Site, June/July 2019

Hello fellow Dibbers, this is our first attempt at a food report. We've been highly entertained in the past reading other Dibbers food and trip reports, so we decided to give it a go ourselves..!

To introduce ourselves..
Me - chief planner, serious Dibber, money saver & red wine lover
DH - master of fun, coaster fanatic, driver & beer enthusiast
DS1 (14) - adrenaline junkie, pancake connoisseur, has glorious hair
DS2 (8) - hates roller coasters (!), loves animals, wi-fi and has a serious Pepsi addiction (if allowed..!)

We have been travelling to Florida since 1998. Myself and DH have passed our love of Florida to our children. This is our 10th trip, but our very first without visiting Disney or Universal (shock, horror! ). We decided this year to do Florida on a budget and were a bit apprehensive about not including the usual parks. We spent 12 nights in a fabulous Dibb villa and during the trip we spent 2 nights at Clearwater Beach. We visited Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Kennedy Space Centre & Gatorland.

The title of our Food Report came about as a result of an interaction with an immigration officer on arrival at MCO. He asked DS2 what he was most looking forward to about his visit to Florida. DS2 replied "going to IHOP". The immigration officer asked him what he was going to have and DS2 replied "toast with a side of sausages". The immigration officer stared at him in disbelief for a moment and then burst out laughing and said "you're going to the International House of Pancakes for toast with a side of sausages?" and DS2 just replied "yep!". We got out of there as fast as we could, as soon as he stamped our passports...!

Before we start, we'd like to acknowledge everyone who's ever written a food or trip report. We only realized once we started, the commitment involved - taking photo's, keeping receipts etc.. We now know the phrases "aggh.. take a photo" after we'd started eating, or "oh no, we forgot to take a photo" after we finished.. Be prepared to see half eaten food and some screen shots from Google. We thought we'd get better as time went on, but we didn't..! You've been warned..

With disclaimers aside, we now present to you, our food report, Toast with a Side of Sausages.. !
