Mobile Home-made Cinnabon’s! (nearly!)

Since our trip & tasting those fabulous Cinnabon’s at Universal, one of my DD has been asking if we can make them. As it’s half term this week I said yes.
It’s a 15-step recipe we found online & with a total rising/resting/cooking & icing time of over 4hrs (plus a trip back to Sainsbury’s to collect an ingredient we’d forgotten), they are finally ready. Unfortunately they caught a little bit on the top (DD & I were busy sorting stuff for another EBay session & although we had a timer on, they’d already caught a bit on top when it went off). Never mind, they still taste delicious, although it’s definitely cheaper (and easier) to buy one next time I think!
Here’s a few photos of some prep & finished buns.

I made them from scratch once as well and I was worn out from the faffing about!
They were lush though.

I was going to try Jalapeno pretzels on the weekend but thats about as much trouble.:0

I use 1 packet of ready made puff pastry find ready rolled easier and quicker
2table spoons butter 2table spoons soft brown sugar 1/3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Cream butter sugar and cinnamon together ( I sometimes add chopped nuts at this stage )
Spread over pastry then roll pastry into a Swiss roll, shape sealing edge with some egg wash then use egg wash to coat whole roll refrigerate for 30 mins to over night then slice into 1/2 inch pin wheels bake at 180 for 8/10 mins this depends on your oven
Remove and drissle maple syrup and pecan icing over
This also makes great mince meat pin wheels instead of mince pies at Christmas
