Just had BBC news ping up breaking news that UK government require a test to be done prior to the return flight home!
No further details yet though.

Just another bloody hurdle!

Thanks for making us aware of this - Sadly I think it was inevitable that something like this would happen, hopefully just for the short term but another thing to budget into holiday costs 🤔

Yet another level of testing. To be honest I'm lost with it. It just feels like a money making machine really. Adds another level of risk. It's here already ao not sure what's to be gained really. Travel industry being hammered again

Another hurdle - I can’t take anymore hurdles 😩. We have just started to pack today, but I keep saying to DH I can’t really get excited as I’m still waiting for the rug to be pulled from under as again!

Any word on if this will apply to the Common Travel Area between Ireland and UK. Current and previous requirements about testing before arrival to The UK do not apply to people travelling from Ireland to UK.
