argh, new flooring

So i had my new flooring done today and i am not happy.

It is easy to fit (i don't have the tools or time) but the bloke made a pigs ear in my view.

Some areas are not laying flat, some joints are loose and therefore not waterproof (if fitted correctly it is fully water proof) edges not straight.
Different size gaps between joining boards- it is a click and lock system.

He hasn't put in the silicone yet as he wants the boards to settle first.

i haven't paid yet but not sure whether to ask him to redo it he can lift it and re do it or get someone else in

Gosh that is terrible. We have had a couple of issues with flooring and decorating. We gave both the chance to rectify or we were reducing payment. Flooring people did sort it out so we paid. Decorator decided more hassle to rectify and tried to bluff his way out - we didn’t pay full bill and won’t use again.

Give him a chance to sort it out - which to me looks like whole floor coming up and being redone - including extra materials if needed, but if he doesn’t do that then don’t pay. He will soon learn to do a better job!

I would not be impressed with that and would be asking him to rectify it. Was he recommended by the shop you bought your flooring from? And did he screed your floor? The flooring looks unlevel in your first photo but might just be the photo!
