Dvc booking at 7 month window
Hello I have 2 booking for September this year one for 7 nights the 2nd for 10. I know at the start of my 7 month window I can move my booking by 7 days if I was to do that with the 10 day booking what would happen with the other 3 nights would the stay at my old accommodation or would they get canceled? I really want to do this online due to the hold times if calling

I think the 7 day rule only applies at 11 months.

7 day rule applies at 7 months you are swapping to none home resort.
Yes in terms of changing the booking, bang on 7 months you could only amend the 10 nights and change it to a 7 nights somewhere else. If you wanted to change all 10, you’d have to wait until 3 days after the 7 months window and then change the lot for another resort, if still available. If you are planning to switch at 7 months, it’s worthwhile doing forward planning. On a 10 day stay I’ll usually split in 2 and do a split stay. However, you could have booked a 7 night and 3 night. Then if you wanted to be at the same resort for a whole 10 nights, switch one on 7 months then the other (if available) 3 days later. You can then call member services and have them merge the bookings. Whenever you do this though, with 2 bookings straight after each other in the same room type at your home resort, until plans are finalised book one in the name of one of your party and the other in the name of someone else in the party, otherwise they sometimes auto merge them.

Keith just to say Good luck! Our 7 month has just opened for Sept & they only full availability for a week are the usual suspects: SSR,OKW & AK (Both), the next nearest was 6 nights in a Lakeview at BLT

Studio I take it?
Expect it to be busy the next 2 years post Covid- there’s huge amounts of points banked and of course pent up demand for trips.

Yt yes Studio, TBH I was only playing around as apart from OKW they are obviously more points that our 3 week stay at SSR & we would be "Borrowing" those extra points, current climate & the unknown of the latest points rules as far as returning to UY, mean it's not worth the risk! We are still hopeful for Sept but as every day draws nearer with the doom & gloom, you do begin to wonder if any of us will be going anywhere!
