Butter or margarine/spread ? Branded or own brand ?

I usually get anchor or any other yellow butter. I hate lurpak or any other white butter.

I do buy supermarket spread or Stork for baking.

Now someone is suggesting Post 31 Dec that Lurpak will either be very expensive or unavailable... scaremongering of the highest level...

if you leave butter out of the fridge in the summer the flies would be all over it, if you put marg in a damp garage for one month it would look and smell exactly the same when it came out and the flies would still go nowhere near..

Whatever is on offer I buy, I hardly use margarine or butter anyway, just had toast and it was Flora buttery, only one I refuse to buy is clover that's shocking and carves up your bread or toast, we will have asdas own if non branded on offer but usually margarine or spread, only buy butter for baking

I’ve tried lots of these over the years but have now settled on Nordpak from Aldi. I think it’s butter with something ‘vegetable based’ added to reduce fat and make it easy to spread. I rarely eat toast, bread etc so a pack lasts me a couple of months.
