I've not read the replies but a post from MH saying 'am I being unreasonable?'
Automatic answer - YES! 🤣 |

You are definitely not being unreasonable, Mrs MH has always seemed particularly thoughtless when it comes to your needs.
You have had some good suggestions already, I was wondering if there is a particular time in the day when you go for big toilet, perhaps the dusting and hoovering could be scheduled around those times when you are naturally out of the way. If necessary, she could put in a flexible working request to accommodate. |

Buy her a quieter vacuum cleaner, your internet skills will ensure you purchase ( as an early xmas/bdaypresent) the best one ,plus some have lights so she could vacuum overnight when your beauty sleep is happening .

This reminds me of when we were first married. DH was out and i needed to put a plug on the new wedding present iron. I put it on, was ironing away, DH came in and asked who fitted the plug. When i told him I did it, he quickly unplugged the iron and checked the wiring!
I was quite capable of wiring a plug, but came to realise that he wanted to do certain tasks, so i always let him. Years on, he does the main manly jobs. I stick to the more traditional women’s things. However, i have two sons that can do any job that needs doing. But they still ask us both to help out. Im also working from home, so have the commute time extra to do housework! Lol!

They are moulded plugs now. You should show her how to fit a kitchen too! Save you a job next time!

We were shown how to change plugs as kids - a skill now redundant
I can remember as a teen that there must have been a shortage of plugs in our house so I’d dry my hair and then take the plug off the hairdryer and put it on the curling tongs. I soon got fed up of that and then started to put the curler wires straight into the socket with the hairdryer plug on top. How I’m alive I don’t know |
