Does anyone have one of these and could recommend whether or not to get the version with the ball head? Mainly want it for fireworks photography.

I've had one in the past with the ball head and found it handy - especially if you're trying to balance on an uneven surface!

I’m pretty sure mine has a ball head. Got some great shots from Bay Lake Tower balcony of the fireworks over Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

I would say 100% get it with the ball head. It gives you extra control over where you want to point your camera once you've secured it or placed it down somewhere.

Yes. Definitely get the ball head - so much more versatile 👍
