Best time of year for Tokyo Disney?
Hi everyone,
I've been wanting to go to Japan (Tokyo Disney but also touring around Japan) for many years, and finally decided to go in autumn 2019 ... only to find out that the Rugby World Cup will be on at that time How busy do you think it will be at that time? Still okay, or too chaotic to bother with? If you think it'll be particularly busy, what other time of year would you suggest? It's unlikely we'd be able to save enough to go before summer 2019. Any thoughts appreciated |

I'd avoid the World Cup dates simply because hotels will be even more expensive with supply and demand

Granted on dates (+/-3 days) where matches will be being played prices will increase but there's plenty of areas where the World Cup isn't going or not there for long?
rugbyworldcup/match-schedule DW and I have applied for tickets for it and have spoken to a couple of partner hotels close to Disney and they are genuinely not expecting cost increases because the partner hotels are already at a premium and no where near the stadiums. For instance to get from the Hilton or Sheraton by TDR your looking at roughly an hour by the metro/tube/underground to get to the Tokyo & Yokohama Stadiums. Plus the atmosphere in the country will be amazing; look how the current World Cup has made even the Russian's smile.

Thanks for the responses! I think we're going to try to go earlier in September before it all kicks off (so to speak) but if we have to go during hopefully it won't be too bad!

We were gutted about this as well! But we are now going just before on 5th Sept so should have left before it all kicks off.
