Battlebots - update on son's progress

For those who've been following my son Tom's participation in Robot Wars (series 9 & 10 with Tauron) and the new 2018 series of Battlebots (Monsoon), most of the series has now aired in the US - we're at episode 18 of 20.

Thought I'd better hide the next bit, so click the spoiler button if you want to know how they did.

 

I can now reveal that he and his team did amazingly well, with Monsoon finishing the fight card episodes with 3 wins and 1 loss (to Son of Whyachi) and actually making it through to the final 16 as 12th seed. They then beat Sawblaze but eventually lost in the quarter finals to Minotaur (no shame in that!)

Their last two fights were in episode 18 which aired on Friday. We even flew out to see those fights - a long weekend in LA - who cares about jetlag?
