We had a great time at DHS on the 19th. We didn’t stay too long as I wasn’t feeling too good. DS and his girlfriend stayed all night and had a great time. The free meal was a bonus. I’d definitely try to do another one.

We also were there on 19th. We also didn't stay late but was disappointed with the wait times for slinky dog and toy story mania
Last year we did Animal Kingdom and even Avatar was virtually walk on. This year while we were there slinky dog was an average of 40 minutes and toy story between 25 and 45 minutes. Tower of Terror and rock n roller coaster were virtually walk on though.
Definitely worth doing.

Glad you managed to get tickets after your initial disappointment.

I wouldn't consider a 25 - 45 minute wait for those rides bad at all considering the average wait time we saw in the summer was well over 2 hours and sometimes more like 3. They've only just opened the new land and everyone at the event would be checking out the area and trying those new rides. Perhaps if you'd stayed later the lines would have been shorter.

We did an Epcot Moonlight Magic and some people reported lines early for some of the attractions whereas we did other things first and didn't have any significant lines at all

We had a great time on the 26th. Checked in at SSR at 6 and we were in HS at 6.30. Had tea at Backlot Express with absolutely no queue, a real bonus to get to choose a proper meal.
Rode Slinky Dog twice, first time with 30 min wait, second time 10 mins just before midnight. Felt positively lonely on ToT and Star Tours and didn’t have to worry about getting a seat in Fantasmic either. We were some of the last out of the park so really made the most of it as we didn’t have any park tickets this trip.

Pretty much the same experience as DS and his GF. They had a fantastic time.
