Flamingo Crossing?
Hi,
We are onsite at the moment and on a bus to the park the driver mentioned Flamingo Crossing. He said Disney were basically building another Disney springs with more food and shops. I hadn't heard of this before. Anyone know any details? |

I don't think it's anything too exciting. Disney have been working on planning permission for land to the West of Animal Kingdom for the past few years.
It's a bunch of apartments at its core with other amenities throughout. Haven't heard if it's aimed at residential or short term rentals. Rental accommodation in Kissimmee is pretty steap and almost unaffordable for what Disney pay their staff. This could be a long term solution that circulates their money, whilst making life easier for their workforce. |

Its Disney owned land / development with 7 different brand hotels - I believe a Marriott one alreday built. Retail/food will also be mixed in and possibly some apartments.
Been lots of delays and changes and not sure of latest plans. Edited at 08:15 AM. |

They are building some student apartments there according to recently filed permits.
