What a stressful start
 the air bnb and train tickets and then $30 for a pizza! Crazy!

That's so bad of the AirBnB cancelling on you. Glad you got something sorted but that's a lot of extra outlay for the late booking.
It sounds so stressful at the airport, hope you got your money back eventually for the wrong tickets. Nice that you all felt up to going out for a while to walk the Brooklyn Bridge, we loved it there.

We did get a refund for the tickets as well, so it worked out ok in then end.
