Just a Quick Question, Ive just applied for our families ESTA and they have been approved instantly. But I have just noticed that the group status log on I inputted my DOB wrong. Its correct on the actual application but wrong for the log on screen. Do you think this matters at all?

I think you will need to correct it, have you looked at the help options on the official page? I certainly wouldn�t leave it in case your refused entry to the US when u arrive

Leave it - group status is only to combine group payment.
The ESTA is correct- thats what matters

That's what I thought.

But I also thought applications take a day or 2 to be looked at and authorised? It says online that it's been authorised already and that was only 2 mins after paying the fee.

Should I get an email or letter to confirm?

You don't get an email or letter to confirm approval. There are only three responses from the official site. Approved, pending or denied and, as others have said the group application is just a reference and means you can make one payment at the end. Other than payment purposes the group has no other benefit. Responses can be anything between instant and 72 hours.

All ESTAs are individual to each passport. If one of the passports expires before the 2 years you will need another ESTA just for that P/P but the rest of the ESTAs will be fine.

I did mine yesterday and it only took seconds between finishing the payment screen and showing approved!

Same, I was expecting it to take a few days at least.
