Lilly is stubborn, her cartwheels were exactly the same as you describe but her friends at school were really good, in the warmer weather at school they can play on the field so she went in there with friends and they practised them ... a lot, she got better at school but still a squished up cartwheel she couldn't unfurl her legs , she started gymnastics a few months back and loves it, it's at our local leisure centre and its a beginners group she loves it, and with all the stretching she does and rolls etc it's as though she's opened up her joints and muscles and she does a brilliant cartwheel, I think it helps she's performing it all on crash mats so knows she can't get hurt easily ... which is a big thing with her but repeating it over and over really helped. Last couple of weeks she's been doing one handed cartwheels ... she earns badges at gymnastics and that's another big thing she wants to get awards and progress so that helps her focus too . Would your daughter try a gymnastics group? Lily goes an hour a week every Saturday and it's really helped, she goes to swimming lesson beforehand so has a busy Saturday which she loves and something I didn't think years ago she would be enthusiastic about X

Sounds like you're both doing great. Hard work for you to maintain the exercise like that ... but SO good for him.

Things do slow down after first couple of weeks watching what you eat usually, it's easy enough to find online how many calories he should be having, 2000 calories is usually for an adult female to maintain their weight, just focus on him eating healthily and I'm sure the weight loss will continue, don't let him get frustrated by not losing anything this week, it can be for any number of reasons he hasn't lost weight this week, heavier clothing when getting weighed for example, everything you've been doing so far is working and helping so hopefully this week staying the same is a one off... How was he when he got weighed? Hopefully not too disappointed xx
