What's your fave cookbook?

Looking to get a new one, looking for simple easy meals-can't get fancy ingredients over here

Ideally healthy-ish ones or maybe healthy versions of "naughty" meals

Hairy Dieters ones fit your brief. There are a few and each had healthier “fake-away” recipes.

Also Eat Well for Less. It was a series on BBC and the cook books have all the recipes featured. They are fairly simple, “normal” ingredients and healthy. Some of the recipes can be found online to save you buying the book.

Other than that I use All Recipes UK & BBC Good Food websites.

Delia Smiths Complete Cookery Course. The first cookery book I ever bought and still use it. Others have come and gone but still go back to Delia !

I really like the 'Without The Calories' books by Justine Pattinson - everything I've made out of them is delicious and doesn't feel like 'diet' food at all.

I have about 50 cookery books, I am a bit obsessed with them.

One of the first I bought was Ainsley Harriott Low fat meals in minutes. I now go for long periods without cooking anything from it but then I pick it up again and wonder why I have not used to for so long. There is a lot of variety in the recipes too. I think it would fit your requirements of being both easy and healthy.

One of my favourite more recent purchases is Jamie Oliver 5 Ingredients, I would also highly recommend this book. I quite like Jamie Oliver recipes, they are easy to follow as he doesn't over complicate.

Another vote for 5 Ingredients by Jamie Oliver. We have at least 2 'new' meals a week now! Quick, easy and not many unusual ingredients.

Another vote for Jamies 5 ingredients. I buy cookbooks and normally run out of patience with them quickly as the recipes are too faffy or don't come out well. Everything I've made from that book has been easy and great. Hubby regularly pesters me to have the pesto chicken!
