I think I’m leaning towards Maine...I fancy some lake and mountain scenery. I’ve spent all day looking at cabins on Airbnb. I was feeling a bit nervous about Airbnb but I’ve just been reading a thread which is very positive and obviously you used them throughout this trip.

Thinking about not stopping in Boston and doing two Maine stops instead!

As I admitted on our Boston day, I don’t really like Boston..

Lots of Dibbers have said how much they liked Ogunquit in Maine.

To throw a left field idea, if you want mountains and lakes have you thought about flying instead to Montreal? A lot less touristy places to be found if you don’t mind remoteness! Quebec is probably my favourite place in the world!,

We have used airbnb a lot - my advice is to read the comments carefully...

It took a good 3-4h to get to the Maine “border” from Acadia! Though could you fly from Bangor to Orlando? That would make Maine a lot easier as you would only have the initial Boston - Maine drive to do. Though I don’t know how much the one way fees would be?

I thought about that, but can’t seem to find a direct flight and it seems a lot more expensive to go indirect than to drive back to Boston!
