Mobile Mariner of the Seas

Hi

We are going on a cruise in just over a week on the Mariner of the Seas and have no idea what to expect! Is all food included? Is it like “all inclusive” food or is it just set meals? We have bought a drinks package and WiFi package.

Also I keep reading people having to share tables? We both work in really social jobs and I do a lot of driving as a midlands based consultant so don’t really fancy making small talk on my holiday. Can I request a table for 2? How do I do that?

Any tips/advice would be great! We are doing the 4 night Bahamas cruise.

Thanks!

All food is included and you can get something to eat almost 24 hours. The windjammer buffet is open all day for breakfast/lunch/evening meal. Personally, we prefer eating breakfast and evening meal in the main dining room and grabbing lunch in the buffet.

There will also be speciality restaurants you can book and pay an additional cost if you want to - Chops Grill is yummy 😋.

On your first day if you request a table for two then that should be you for the rest of the cruise. Have you prepaid gratuities? If you have then you will be my time dining (you decide when you want to eat each evening). If not you will eat at one of two set times.

We didn’t prepay as didn’t realise what it was! We chose mytime dining I think? Hopefully they’ll be a pack or something to explain everything haha. Thanks for the help!

We sailed on the Mariner a few years ago and it was lovely. Bar the cover charge for speciality restaurants and Johnny Rockets, food was included. You certainly won’t go hungry! Have a great holiday.

I think now the rules have changed and you can do my time dining without prepaying gratuities.

Have you not logged onto my cruise planner? It will show you all the options for dining, entertainment, beverage packages etc.

I hope you have a fantastic time!

Mariner has just had a big refurbishment, we were on the ship immediatelty prior to it going into dry-dock for the refit!
We sailed on her from Singapore to Dubai via Thailand and India and had a really great time.

We were able to get a table for two very easily on the first day, no problem at all, and were seated at that table thereafter.

We had the drinks package and the wifi package The wifi can be a bit slow but that's to be expected at sea, but useable, the cocktails and flavoured latte coffees in the Cafe were lovely!

I agree with Cheekydeeky - check your cruise planner, you'll find loads of information on there! Enjoy!

We are on now! We are on our last day - a day at sea! We have absolutely throughly enjoyed ourselves and even though we have more holiday to enjoy, we are so relaxed! Thank you for your reply.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't look at the dates
I'm so glad you are enjoying your time on Mariner!
Oh I wish I could see the updates to the ship, I know they were putting a bunch of stuff on top deck, water play stuff and you were getting a Starbucks too?
I don't think the cabins were being upgraded? We were in a forward balcony...

Enjoy the rest of youyr holiday!
