Mmm. Better I must say. The cynic in me however says it's a disaster hence the change.

They had no one going in- losing money hand over fist so they have had to make the change. Now bring it down to what it is actually worth- about $30 a day and they will have a hit on their hands.

We had a look round a couple of weeks ago and the lady that showed us round basically said they didn’t know what to do with it. I loved the fact they splashed it over Disney Files as a DVC mingle lounge and then withdrew it and tried to pretend the idea never existed! I can’t say I would drink or eat enough to make it worth our while especially if food is only available for that limited amount of time.

I’d forgotten about the brushed under the carpet mix and mingle. Obviously someone had second thoughts that if they did that, it would make people even less likely to pony up hundreds of dollars a day for their family to go in.
I’m hoping it still doesn’t do well and they have to drop the price to something reasonable. The very restrictive hours are also poor, only between 4 and 6. If you were staying there and it was say 4 to 11 and you liked quite a few drinks then it wouldn’t be as bad.
At the moment this simply isn’t worth it, need to drop it to $35 tops.

I’m more than happy for it to stay unpopular tbh, if the price drops it’ll turn into the same farm that the US hotel club rooms have become!

I’ll put my inner snob back in her box now 😂😂

Call me a snob as well but I actually agree. I was shocked at the behaviour of a lot of the "guests" at AKL concierge this summer. It was like feeding time at the zoo with people swarming the buffet and piling their plates high and basically taking everything that had just been put out. They were obviously treating it as a meal replacement plan or trying to squeeze every last $$ out of it rather than the snacks and light bites it's supposed to be.

This is exactly it. I've always thought of club / concierge as a nice quiet haven away from the crowds, where you can get a drink and a snack.

Even club at the Atlantis in Dubai was like that, they serve champagne so I'd hoped it may stay quiet and relaxed, but yet another feeding frenzy with families piling little snack plates high with food to save having to buy their children dinner!

At $50 a pop a day for 10 year olds who cannot drink, I think I would be taking my own plates in, as buying meals on top would not be an option for $200 a day.

I would be talking rucksacks and ice packs. For $30, 50 or 100 each I would be looking to get enough food to feed each person for a day let alone for nibbles!

Two adults two children and pay $400?. Insanity . God we could eat at Jiko's for less and not be restricted to their stupid hours
