That’s a decent budget, there are the usual chains - radisson, Hilton etc. The Lowry is nice but too far out.
Personally, I’d stay in the Hotel Gotham or King Street Townhouse
Lowry Hotel isn't far out! The footbridge just behind House Of Fraser is really easy and good access for Spinningfields. We habe stayed there a few times and I like to be close!
I would like to stay at Hotel Gotham, looks lovely!
Personally think The Hilton is actually less central.
Don't go for Malmaisson, that is a bit further out!

We stayed at Marriott Victoria and Albert which was lovely and also, I think, the Principal. Now we stay at hotel "son and his girlfriend", it even has free parking!
Enjoy the markets.

Definitely agree with not going for Malmaison, its not at the 'nice' end of town and I think the rooms are a bit scruffy and tired these days. I love the Lowry and I love club level at the Hilton (for its free evening drinks and canapés...hic!). The Radisson is also nice and 2 minutes walk from the markets. Alberts Schloss across from the Radisson is fab for drinks and food.

Agree re malmaison - rooms dark and getting tatty now. Love Alberts - been to the one in the east lancs recently and that was good too

Think that's different to Albert Schloss, it's the same as Alberts Shed in Castlefield I think.
I've not been in Albert Scloss, might have to try on my Christmas market visit!
